Dear friends ,
Happy LOHDI ,PONGAL,MAKARSANKRANTI
The Inbuilt Design Thinking of our Festival Makar Sankranti * PONGAL LOHDI,
Vitamin D is made by the body with sunlight.
Sesame seeds (til) have the highest calcium (975mg per 100g). Milk has 125mg only.
The body is capable of storing vitamin D up to a year, and use the reserves.
Lastly, the body is capable of getting its vitamin D reserves full with 3 full days of sunlight.
The best quality of sunlight is end of winter & beginning of summer.
Now join the dots, and see how wise our sages were in ancient India.
They created a festival of flying kites(mostly in north india) where by our kids get excited to go in the open, under direct sunlight, throughout the day starting from early morning. And their mothers feed them homemade TIL Ladoos(sweet ball made of jagery and Til we say in maharastra TIL GUL GHEYA GOD GOD BOLA means carry the sweetness on your words always)
Dont you think we have a great culture 😊?
Makar Sankranti - the Kite flying festival in India is on January 14th this year 2021.
