Tigernuts Milk (Kunu Aya)

We have lots of local drinks that compliments our meals and also used to chill during hot weather. Drinks like, Kunu dawa, Kunu gyda, Sobo, Kunu Aya etc. Kunu Aya or Tiger nut milk is one of the richest drink you can think of. 

Recipe

1) Tiger nuts (the basic ingedient)

2) Coconut (to make it milkier)

3) Dates (a sweetner)

4) Ginger (to make it spicy)

5) Water

Remove the seeds from the dates and cut into small pieces, dice the coconut and the ginger. Wash the tiger nuts and mixed everthing together and blend.

Mix the paste with hot water for easy sieving and taming the propensity to go sour early

 bottle the milk and serve chilled
