Ubud Bliss: Coffee, Culture, and Culinary Delights
Our Nusa Penida adventure concluded with a smooth speedboat ride back to Sanur Port. From there, a quick cab ride whisked us to our Ubud haven.
The next morning, we awoke to a breathtaking view of Mount Batur while savoring a delicious breakfast at the verdant Vedpresso cafe. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as we indulged in a delightful spread of pizza, french fries, and refreshing dragon fruit juice – the perfect fuel for a day of exploration.
Ubud's vibrant coffee scene beckoned, and we embarked on a captivating coffee tasting tour. Beyond the rich flavors we savored, we witnessed the fascinating process behind the world's most expensive coffee – Kopi Luwak.
Our knowledgeable guide led us through the meticulous steps, from the selection of coffee cherries by civet cats to the meticulous cleaning, roasting, and grinding. We even had the opportunity to try our hand at the roasting process, a truly hands-on experience that deepened our appreciation for this unique brew.
But Ubud's magic extends far beyond its coffee culture. Our tour also included a visit to a local spice plantation, a fragrant haven where diverse spices flourished. Wandering through the lush greenery, we were introduced to a kaleidoscope of flavors – from the warmth of ginger and the earthy tones of turmeric to the delicate aroma of cardamom. Learning about the traditional uses of these spices in Balinese cuisine and beyond added another layer of cultural richness to our experience. We couldn't resist leaving with a collection of these culinary treasures, ready to infuse our own dishes with a touch of Balinese magic.
Ubud boasts a vibrant coffee scene, and a coffee tasting tour is a fantastic way to delve into the world of Balinese coffee, including the infamous Kopi Luwak. Here are some tips and recommendations for your experience:

Bela postagem @HinalLad .
