It's weird because “Kuragari” means mowing the darkness.
As you enter the Kuragari Gorge, you will notice that it is a little dim and cool as the green trees block the sunlight. You will feel that the light is being mowed here, not the darkness being mowed.
"Kuragari gorge" is a national forest managed by the Forestry Agency. It is one of the valuable places provided to the people as a scenic exploration forest. That fact is not well known to the locals.
There is only a national forest, and the variety of plants is abundant and well managed.
We walked down the path between the trees, stopped and took a deep breath ... we felt refreshed.
There’s a river with rugged rocks. It looks cool to see the cold, clear water flowing vigorously.
If you walk to the upper reaches of the river, you can enjoy fishing trout. We didn't go this time.
Those who like outdoor activities enjoy camping and barbecuing in the bungalows and cottages.
The maple leaves that turn red in autumn are now refreshing green. Pterophyta grows on the rocks.
We didn't explore the forest for too long. Because we had another main purpose. It was to eat the shaved ice of "Cafe Kuragari".
We arrived at the cafe around 12 o'clock, wrote our name on the visit board and had lunch. And we got the tickets that were given in the order in which the names were written on the visit board. Tickets will be distributed from 13:30 as many as the number of shaved ice. Our turn was 39th. Wow! We expected our turn to come around 15:30 and went for a walk to "Kuragari gorge" after having lunch.
The reason we didn't take a long walk was because it was the turn of the shaved ice.
The taste of the meal was a little strong, but it was very good. The miso soup was especially delicious.
The shaved ice was wrapped in condensed milk espuma and covered with blueberry sauce.

If you eat shaved ice and it gets cold, you can buy a cardigan as clothes are on sale. How nice!

「くらがり渓谷」奇妙な名前だけど良い場所
「くらがり渓谷」は漢字で「闇刈渓谷」と書きます。闇を刈るというわけですが、実際にくらがり渓谷へ行くと、樹々が生い茂っているため陽が遮られて薄暗いです。
刈られているのは闇ではなく、光では？と思うほど。そういうわけで変な名前だなと思いました。
くらがり渓谷は林野庁が管理する国有林です。景色が美しく自然を楽しめる場所として開放されている、探勝林の一つです。
国有林というだけあって丁寧に管理されていて、植物もいろんな種類があり、ゴミなども見当たりませんでした。とても綺麗な森です。
樹々の間を散歩して、ときどきとまって深呼吸をすると、生き返るような気持ちになりました。
岩がゴツゴツした川もあり、澄んだ水が勢いよく流れていました。触らなかったけど、水は冷たそうでした。家族連れが川に入って遊んだりしていました。
上流の方までいくと、マス釣りもできるそうです。今回私たちは行かなかったけど。
バンガローやコテージもあり、バーベキューやデイキャンプ、泊りのキャンプもできるそうです。
そんな素敵な場所ですが、私たちはそれほど長時間散歩はしませんでした。
というのも、今回ここへきた第一の目的は散歩ではなく、かき氷を食べに来たからです。
そのかき氷は「Cafeくらがり」で出されているのですが、食べるまでが結構大変でした。
当日の私たちの動きはこんな感じでした。
お昼頃にカフェについて、ウェイティングボードに名前を書き、まずはランチを食べました。
かき氷の整理券が、当日作れるお皿の数だけ、13時半からウェイティングボードの名前順に配布されました。私たちの順番はなんと39番目。多分15時半ころかなと予測を付けて、
ランチの後くらがり渓谷へ散歩に出かけたのです。
だから長い時間散歩ができなかったというわけなのです。
ランチのメニューの感想ですが、味付けは少し濃いめかなと思いましたが、私は美味しいなと思いました。なかでもお味噌汁が私は好きでした。お店の方によると、地元の味噌を何種類か混ぜているということでした。
散歩の後、ようやくかき氷です。
待ちに待ったかき氷は練乳のエスプーマに包まれていて、その上からブルーベリーソースがかけられていました。
見た目も素敵な感じです。練乳のエスプーマがふわふわとしていて、今までに食べたかき氷で一番美味しく感じました。
@HiroyukiTakisawa もかき氷がお好きなようだから、こちらへ来られたときには是非おすすめしたいです。
かき氷を食べて体が冷えてしまったら、服も売られているのでカーディガンなどを買うこともできます。良いカフェでしょう？
かき氷を食べたり、自然の中で涼んだりして、一日くらがり渓谷を満喫しました。
そういうわけで、夏の涼しい場所としておすすめします！

@HiroyukiTakisawaさん そうなんです、名前はすこし怖い雰囲気ですが、とても良い場所なんです。練乳エスプーマはフワフワっとしていて、とても美味しかったです！なんていうか…初めてカプチーノを飲んでミルクのフワフワに驚いたときのような感動がありました😊
