What is your favorite place, experience, photo or video you contributed to Google Maps this year?
Dolores Hidalgo Old Railway Station is a very special place for my family because my grandfather was born and raised very close to that town. That railway station was built 112 years ago and it's no longer in operation right now, but my grandfather used it as a principal way of transportation to other cities.

Visiting the building was like time travel! Its exterior has an excellent state of conservation and touring its spaces makes you imagine all the stories that happened there.

What advice do you have for other Local Guides?
Keep contributing to Google Maps without thinking about points or levels. Keep in mind the info you add to the map will help other people like you and your community in more ways than you can imagine. That's the biggest reward you can get from it!

What do you like most about the Local Guides community?
The Local Guides Community is a great way to expand our horizons and learn about the world we're living in, the diversity of cultures, and hidden marvels. It's also a reminder that we are all similar, even if we live in places far apart from each other.

What makes a place or experience worth rating/reviewing?
When you find a place, or a business that surprises you with something you did not expect to discover, or that exceeds your expectations, it is essential that you leave a review to share it with others. Those kinds of details add value to Google Maps as a truthful tool that we can all take advantage of.

What is your favorite feature of Google Maps?
The most recent feature that was added to the desktop version of Google Maps, Road Editor, is very exciting because it's possible to map areas that are being developed in smaller cities and towns. I discovered that this option is also available in the iOS version of Google Maps, which is super useful for me.
